The Lipidomics Minimal Reporting Checklist summarizes key details of all steps of lipidomic workflow, like how to collect and store samples, extract lipids, perform mass spectrometric analysis, perform data processing, and report results. The aim is to give users an overview regarding the quality and completeness of lipidomic data, to further harmonize the field, and to improve the quality of lipidomic analysis.
Learning Objectives
- Cover aspects of the samples before processing, extraction, or analysis.
- Give a snapshot of the general workflow for sample preparation and the type of analytical methods used in Lipidomic analysis.
- Define how to identify a lipid molecule from chromatographic and/or mass spectral data.
