We note with great sadness the passing of Walt Shaw, founder of Avanti Polar Lipids.
Through the development of high-quality lipid standards, Walt Shaw laid the essential foundation that made the establishment of modern lipidomics possible.
His vision, support and commitment fundamentally shaped the field and enabled reproducible, quantitative lipid research worldwide.
His legacy will continue to live on in every lipidomics experiment built upon this work.
