ASBMB – Mini-symposia in Boston, MA
We are pleased to announce the ASBMB – Mini-symposia in Boston, April 3rd of 2027.
Beyond lipid composition: How quantitative lipidomics is transforming membrane biology symposium
Biological membranes are dynamic, highly organized structures whose functions are dictated by their lipid composition. This mini-symposium will highlight how modern quantitative lipidomics — including high-resolution mass spectrometry, isotope tracing, spatial lipidomics and computational modeling — is providing new insights into membrane biology. Speakers will showcase how quantitative lipidomics reveals lipid composition as a determinant of membrane organization, uncovers membrane adaptation during development and disease, defines lipid signatures of specific organelles and cell types, and connects composition to membrane biophysics and cell physiology.
