ILS Interest Group on Oxylipin Analysis, second open meeting
Dear Colleagues
I am writing to update you on the work of the ILS Oxylipin IG. A few months ago, we published “Technical recommendations for oxylipin analysis” in Science Signaling with around 100 co-authors (https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/scisignal.adw1245). Along with this, a comprehensive set of MS/MS-spectra of oxylipins has now been generated and uploaded to LIPID MAPS, with contributions from several of our analytical laboratories (https://lipidmaps.org/databases/oxylipin/browse).
To follow on from this work, we would like to discuss you next steps for the IG, to address the main challenges in our field. In particular we are keen to hear your ideas.
Agenda:
- Update: Technical recommendation for oxylipin analysis.
- Update: Oxylipin MS/MS spectra library on LIPID MAPS.
- Discussion of challenges in the field and future tasks for the IG.
- Updating the ILS Reporting guidelines to account for targeted oxylipin assays.
- Improving data coverage of biochemical pathway information, with LIPID MAPS.
Open online meeting:
- Wednesday the 22th of October, 12:00 PST | 15:00 EST | 20:00 GMT | 21:00 CET | 05:00 JST | 07:00 AEDT
- Thursday the 23th of October, 04:00 PST | 07:00 EST | 12:00 GMT | 13:00 CET | 21:00 JST | 23:00 AEDT
The first meeting will be on Wednesday, with the same agenda repeated live on Thursday so that those unable to make this can participate in the discussion.
All ILS members and interested scientists are welcome. Please forward this invitation to other interested colleagues.
