If you join ILS, you can shape the future of the field by engaging in one of our interest groups:

individual IGs plan their activities and goals independently
they report their activities and events on the ILS website
they are coordinated by steering committees including at least 1 board member
all IG members can actively participate and shape the future plans of their IGs
ILS members are welcome to join any IG and participate according to their interest
collaboration of different IGs is welcome and actively encouraged

If you plan to join an Interest Group you can subscribe to them on their page as a member or contact one of the IGs steering committee members directly.
